The internal auditor and fraud

In these times of increased economic pressures, the nature and risks around fraud are evolving. This seminar considers the current nature of fraud, whether it is just about money and the role of internal auditors in responding to this.

The first session will be an interactive discussion about who is committing fraud, types of fraud and who knows about it. John Morris who is an experienced forensic fraud investigator will facilitate the discussion. Speakers for the event also include Peter Tickner author of ‘How to be a Successful Frauditor’. His last case, as Director of Internal Audit for the Metropolitan Police, was the abuse of corporate credit cards by detectives. Jay Abbot, who is a registered ethical hacker, will be providing a fresh perspective about data security and identity theft.
