Networking and sharing

The IIA facilitates members’ networking. As well as through events, District Society activities and Special Interest Groups, we provide opportunities to network and to share information here on the website, and through open social networking tools, such as Twitter and Linked In.

Discussion forum
The Discussion Forum provides members with an opportunity to debate internal auditing issues in depth with other practicing professionals, to seek input on specific work challenges, and for experienced internal auditors to share their knowledge with others who are newer to the profession.

Internal audit stakeholders – audit committee members or executive managers of every level – are also able to seek the advice of the internal audit profession through the forum. They are asked to submit a question via the Technical team using the ‘Ask the Institute’ form and can view the responses in the forum entitled Discussion forum for non-IIA members.

Sharing tools and templates with members
Members can share tools and templates via the web site. Just send any files you think will be useful to others to the Technical team at the email below and we will remove any names or other identification, virus check them and post them on the web site.

Twitter
As well as member only activities, we periodically have tweet chats which are open to members and non-members. These more open discussions enable us to engage with people and organisations that have an interest in the work of internal audit.
