Corporate governance and banking regulation consultations:

A number of consultations are taking place around the world, partly in response to the economic and banking crises.  We will be submitting responses to the FRC, the Financial Services Authority and to the Walker Review (see below).  A Council taskforce is overseeing and planning our approach.  We will publish deadlines for comments on this page, when we have finalised that plan.  In the interim, here are details of the relevant consultations.

The FRC has launched a reform of the UK’s Corporate Governance Code (formerly the Combined Code) to learn the lessons from the financial crisis.
