The IIA’s unique qualifications provide a structured pathway for a career in internal audit. From October 2010 individuals can become Chartered Internal Auditors by completing the IIA Advanced Diploma.
| IIA Certificate in Internal Audit and Business Risk A certificated training programme, providing a broad overview of the internal audit function. Delivered through a set of short intensive training workshops, with no exams. Syllabus and format updated in 2010. Results in IACert designation. |
| IIA Diploma in Internal Audit Practice A professional qualification for those serious about making a career in internal audit. Numerous routes to completion, including the accelerated route for qualified accountants and risk managers. The first step to becoming a Chartered Internal Auditor. Results in PIIA designation. |
| IIA Advanced Diploma in Internal Auditing and Management An advanced professional qualification which as of October 2010 will lead to individual to chartered status. Entry is open to those who hold PIIA designation. Results in MIIA designation (changing to CMIIA as of October 2010). |
| IIA IT Auditing Certificate An advanced accredited module for those who wish to develop specialist expertise in auditing IT and information systems. Entry open to those who hold PIIA or MIIA designations, or global IIA’s CIA designation. |
