The IIA is currently developing a new framework for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and aims to launch a pilot of the new CPD programme in April 2008.
The new programme aims to raise the standard of internal audit practice in the UK and Ireland, and ensure the continued professional competence and status of Institute members.
It will be mandatory for all IIA members including affiliate and group members but excludes retired members.
The main proposals are outlined in the
consultation document, which was sent to members in August 2007. The Council of Directors has approved these proposals and our education team is now designing a programme based on them.
Members have so far had two opportunities to give input to this new framework via an online survey and
consultation document. Feedback from members has shown strong support for the proposals and further comments and suggestions are still gratefully received – please click
