We offer a portfolio of qualifications, providing a structured pathway for your career as an internal auditor.
IIA Certificate in Internal Audit and Business Risk
This qualification is ideal if you are starting a career in internal audit. It provides an invaluable introduction to the basic skills and concepts, offering a firm foundation on which you can base your future studies. It is also highly popular with people who only expect to work in internal audit for a short time, perhaps as part of a general management career.
IIA Diploma in Internal Audit Practice
The next logical next step when you are looking to develop your internal audit career further. It will provide you with a thorough grounding in the knowledge and skills required to make progress as an internal auditor. Employers regard it as the hallmark of internal audit competence.
IIA Advanced Diploma in Internal Auditing and Management
The IIA Advanced Diploma is for experienced and senior-level auditors, and for qualified accountants who want a specific qualification in internal auditing. It will develop and test your knowledge of core internal audit practice in the context of wider issues such as strategic management and risk assurance.
IIA Qualification in Computer Auditing

Consultation on new IIA Certificate in IT Auditing
In April 2008 the Institute released proposals for a new Certificate in IT Auditing. The consultation period for this new programme is now closed but members and non-members are invited to review the proposals and find out about the proposed new Certificate.
You can join our portfolio at any stage, depending on your current qualifications, your internal audit experience and your career goals. Please note that you can only be registered on one qualifcation at any given time.
