Vodafone operates a 3 year Finance Graduate Scheme, during which time the graduates rotate through 3 annual placements across the Vodafone Finance community. For one of your placements, you have the opportunity to work in the Internal Audit team. This will give you wide exposure to the Vodafone Business, and Senior Management, whilst also developing your personal skill set. By the end of your placement, you will have a deep understanding of what Internal Audit do, and how this enables Vodafone to achieve its strategic objectives. You will be able to use this experience during the remainder of your time on the Graduate Scheme. At the end of the scheme, for those with the right mindset and drive, you could move into a permanent role within Internal Audit. Hannah Marsh – 3rd Year Finance Graduate As part of the Vodafone Finance Graduate Scheme, I was fortunate enough to spend my second 12 month rotation in the UK Internal Audit team. This gave me exposure to a lot of commercial areas of the business, as well as further insight into financial systems and processes. I was given the responsibility to work either independently, or as part of a small team, on each audit I was assigned to. This gave me the opportunity to meet with, and present to, senior management and Board members to discuss audit findings. In addition, the placement enabled me to develop my time management, presentation and report writing skills. I really enjoyed my time in Internal Audit, and gained some valuable experience. I hope to return to the team in a permanent role once I have completed the Graduate Scheme, which will give me the opportunity to study towards the IIA qualification. |
