How can I check if you have availability on a specific workshop/seminar?
Please contact the IIA Learning department for up to date information on availability. If the event is full the team will advise you of alternative dates.

Can I book a place on one of the workshops/seminars over the phone?
All bookings for the IIA Advanced Diploma revision workshops and seminars must be made using the online booking form, or by completing a printed version and returning it by email, fax or post.
If you are registering on the IIA Diploma study programme, the revision workshop is part of the programme. You should indicate which date and venue you would like to attend on the application form and send it by post or fax.

What time do workshops/seminars start and finish?

What is included in the workshop fee?
One night's accommodation plus all meals and refreshments are included in the fee. If extra nights are required delegates do need to contact the venue direct to arrange his.

Is the study material for the IIA Advanced Diploma study programme available as a hard copy?
No the only way to obtain a hard copy of the study material on the CD-Rom is to print the material from the disc.

Do I need to attend the two skills modules, Effective Delivery and Communication and Client Auditor Relations?
All students who sat their exam in or after June 2004 need to complete the two skills modules.

When shall I attend the skills modules?
We advise that you attend them early on in the qualification, as the information will be most relevant at this stage.

How do I book the skills modules?
You can book a place on the skills modules through the Certificate Coordinator.

Will I be charged if I have to cancel my place on the workshop/seminar?
For IIA Advanced Diploma Revision Workshops and Seminars you must notify the IIA in writing.

If I am eligible for direct entry on to the Advanced Diploma can I use the designation PIIA?
No. Only students, who have passed the exams, attended the skills modules and submitted the logbooks may use the designation PIIA.

Are text books supplied as part of the study material for the IIA Advanced Diploma study programme?
There is only one text book supplied, that is 'Exploring Corporate Strategy' for the Strategic Management module.

If I am eligible for direct entry on to the Advanced Diploma but still want to enrol on the Diploma, will I be exempt from any modules?
Yes you will be exempt from P1 Organisation and Management, P2 Accounting and Financial Systems, P4 Business Information Systems. You will also be exempt from the tuition for P3 Internal Auditing and P5 Corporate Governance. In addition to sitting these two exams you would need to attend the skills modules and pass the professional experience modules.

I am a Diploma studnet who is about to sit my final exams. I would like to enrol on the Advanced Diploma and start studying as soon as possible. Can I do this before I have been awarded the Diploma?
No. Students must have successfully completed the designation PIIA before they can register on the Advanced Diploma qualification and enrol on the IIA Learning tuition programme for the Advanced Diploma. Students are unable to enrol on the tuition programme before they have been awarded the Diploma as IIA Learning require the students to be registered on the Advanced Diploma before they will accept tuition applications. This is because until this stage there is no guarantee that the student will be successful in the Diploma.

Work and personal commitments mean that I will not complete the qualification within three years. Am I eligible to apply for an extension?
Yes. A one-year extension may be granted if you are unable to meet the deadline. You must request and extension in writing and send it to the student support coordinator at the Institute one month before your three-year deadline expires.
