What type of workshops do you run?
Students new to the programme will be able to attend a free one-day induction workshop scheduled in either London or Manchester. The induction workshop will outline the full range of services available to IIA Learning students and allow new students to meet the learning team and other students.
We also offer one-day student workshops. These workshops were previously called mid-session workshops and took place half-way through the study session to revise content already covered in the study-session and introduce new concepts and content. The student workshops will consolidate students' learning and build knowledge and understanding by focussing on important and problematic themes and are therefore completely independent of the IIA Learning study session and therefore open to all students.
The very popular Revision workshops remain unchanged. These are presented towards the end of the study session and designed to help you with your exam preparation.

How do I check if you have availability for a specific workshop, or make a booking?
Please click here for an up-to-date list of all workshops, as well as the online booking form. Alternatively, please contact the IIA Learning department.
-
How do I cancel my workshop booking?
If you notify the IIA in writing 10 working days before the start date of the workshop, you will receive a full refund less an administration fee of 20%. Where seminars and workshops include study texts, a fee will be charged for the study text if it has been opened. If however, it has not been opened, no charge will be made and you will be notified of a date when the study text will be collected.
Unfortunately late cancellations sometimes cause workshops or seminars to be abandoned, therefore if a delegate withdraws for whatever reason within the 10 day period, the fee will remain payable in full if you are unable to nominate a substitute.

I'm studying the Advanced Diploma - will I be able to access my study materials via the VLE?
Support for the Advanced Diploma remains unchanged for now and materials can be accessed via the CD-Rom or the LSBU Blackboard LMS.
We are currently planning to overhaul all the materials for the Advance Diploma and hope to have this completed in time for the November 2011 examinations.

Can I defer my studies?
You will not be able to defer your studies to another study session. You will need to cancel your registration in line with our cancellation policy which is available on the website.
-
How do I log into the VLE?
You will find the link to VLE on the member pages of the website which means that you will need to log in to the members area on the website using your member number and password.
There are multiple ways to log in to the members area on the site. You can use the member login tool, located on the upper right side of the homepage. Alternatively, you can use the 'Member login' link that appears at the very top of every page next to the site search. This link takes you to the 'Member login' page.
