Gail Easterbrook FIIA
The current Chief Executive is Gail Easterbrook. Gail is responsible for the day to day business of the Institute. Her role is to lead the executive staff in the delivery of operational performance and the achievement of strategic and business objectives. She is supported by the Business Unit Directors, who form the Executive Group. Together they help to shape and implement the policies and plans agreed by the Council and are responsible for ensuring that the Institute is run efficiently and effectively.

Jackie Cain, Technical Director MIIA
Jackie’s role is to drive forward the Institute’s agenda from both a technical and professional viewpoint. She is also responsible for leading and managing the Institute’s ongoing technical activities, including:
- Commissioning and overseeing the production of technical guidance, research and advice to members
- Promoting the value of internal auditing to members and as part of a wider advocacy programme
- Providing technical expertise to IIA programmes such as Research, QAR, Education and CPD
- Representing the IIA - UK and Ireland on the global Standards Committee

Ann Cantillon, Director of Training
Ann’s role is to lead the development of the IIA’s training and learning programmes. This includes:
- Identifying opportunities for the expansion and development of the IIA's programmes
- Creating tailored training solutions to meet the needs of the IIA's diverse customer base
- Designing and developing training and learning materials
- The delivery and ongoing quality assurance of training courses and events

Stephen Crowe, Head of Finance
Stephen is responsible for ensuring that accurate records of all financial transactions are recorded, analysed and reconciled and that the Institute's accounting procedures comply with statutory requirements. This includes:
- Producing statutory and management accounts
- Monitoring performance against budgets and producing financial forecasts
- Managing working capital, cash-flow and the IIA's investment portfolio
- Managing the general maintenance, security and day to day running of the IIA's business premises

Phil Gray, Communications and Advocacy Director
Phil's role is to lead the Institute's marketing and communications function through:
- Development of brand and communications strategy
- Management of public affairs and advocacy programmes, acting as the Institute's focus for media activity centrally and providing advice and guidance to the Institute's volunteers and district societies
- Oversight of departmental marketing and publicity activity, including editiorial direction, design and production of all publications / digital output

Nuala Laverty, Business Development Director
Nuala is responsible for initiating, developing and delivering partnerships and projects that contribute to the growth of the IIA. This includes:
- Identifying and evaluating potential partners and partnership opportunities
- Managing and developing relationships with agreed strategic business partners
- Developing and launching new products and services
- Refreshing and repositioning existing products and services in line with the overall strategy and member needs

Francis Nicholson, Education Director
Francis leads the development of the IIA’s professional qualifications and and assessment programmes. His role encompasses:
- Development of the qualifications portfolio
- Syllabus review
- Design and development of assessment programmes
- Quality assurance and tuition validation
- External academic relations

Paul Roberts, Member Services Director
Paul is responsible for growing membership, developing member services and ensuring member satisfaction. This includes:
- Developing membership recruitment and retention strategy
- Expansion of member benefits portfolio
- Gathering member insight via research
- Improving member satisfaction via provision of excellent customer service
