The Heads of Internal Audit Service is a premier networking community for heads of internal audit in the UK and Ireland. It provides an exclusive service package that offers:

Regular professional forums
The forums are small interactive sessions where Service members debate the benefits and pitfalls of leading-edge techniques and practices. They include presentations by leading experts and facilitated discussions on a variety of internal auditing issues, offering the chance to share best practice in an informal and confidential environment. To keep you fully updated and briefed, our monthly electronic email newsletter brings you analysis of professional developments, briefings on relevant topics as well as a synopsis of news stories about internal auditing and related subjects.
Benchmarking services
Our internet-based benchmarking facility allows members to commission surveys of other HIAS members in a safe, confidential environment. Members can request surveys as well as benefit from surveys commissioned by other members.
Member directory
To help you make the most of your networking group, you will have access to contact details of all Service members. Listings by name and company help you to easily identify those members that you would like to contact.
Influence the future of the profession
We value your opinions and expertise. As a member of the Service you are regularly invited to participate in research and other IIA activities that help us to develop the profession. Online resources
HIAS members benefit from a range of exlusive online services that are restricted only to HIAS members. These inlcude an archive of analysis and news articles, discussion forums and the member directory. Other online developments will be coming soon!
IIA membership
When you join the Service you will become an affiliate member of the IIA (unless you are already a member). This signals that you are dedicated to your profession and gives you access to regular technical guidance and resources, without the need to study for a qualification. You will receive briefing notes, the Institute's monthly magazine Internal Auditing, password access to online resources, discounts on our training programmes and bookstore, and many other benefits. As an IIA member you will be required to follow our Code of Ethics and international Standards.
Eligibility
The Heads of Internal Audit Service is only available to full time heads of internal audit. The Service is not open to consultants.
