District's role and mission statement

The Midlands District Committee will:

• Support the Institute by promoting internal auditing, risk management and corporate governance in the Midlands
• Promote the profile and development of the internal auditing profession
• Provide cost effective seminars and events in the Midlands, which are relevant to the needs of members and students
• Encourage networking and mutual support amongst members in the Midlands and other interested parties.

Welcome to the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Midlands District. I became involved with the district over three years ago now and have enjoyed playing an active role, becoming chair last summer.

We have over 800 members and we are keen to support everyone. We aim to provide events which provide you with knowledge on a specialist topic or will help you in the way you work. Attending our events gives members an excellent forum for networking and to talk directly to the committee, as there will always be committee members present. We have an excellent reputation for providing events that are professional and very cost effective. 

This is your District and we are keen to know what events you would like to see provided so if you have any suggestions for topics, speakers, venues etc. please contact me at midlands@iia.org.uk  or any other member of the committee.
