Districts role and mission statement

The North East District Committee will:

• Support the Institute of Internal Auditors UK and Ireland
• Promote the internal auditing profession
• Provide district seminars to all its members to keep abreast of developments in the profession
• Be a point of contact for all district members and students to provide advice and information
• Encourage networking amongst fellow professionals to share views and ideas

Welcome to the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) North East District. The North East District has expanded its membership in recent years to around 700, and has significantly raised the profile of the profession.

Our District presents professional and cost effective seminars to enable you and your teams to keep up to date with the latest developments in the Internal Auditing Profession. These events provide an excellent opportunity for networking and help demonstrate continuing professional development. Where possible we encourage round table discussions to allow delegates to debate issues and share best practice.
