The Banking and Financial Services Internal Audit Group (BFSIAG) is a special interest group affiliated to the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). The IIA is the primary body representing, promoting and developing the professional practice of internal auditing in the UK and Ireland.
The BFSIAG provides seminars and conferences for internal auditors employed within the Financial Services sector. Attendance at these seminars and conferences is available to all, whether or not members of the IIA. However, the BFSIAG seeks to promote IIA membership and works closely with the IIA in the development of internal auditing within the Financial Services sector. The BFSIAG is managed by a committee of internal auditors employed in a variety of banks.
BFSIAG aim to provide topical and product-relevant seminars of interest to Financial Services internal auditors. Our seminars are non profit making and offer excellent value-for-money. They also offer useful networking opportunities as they are attended by a wide range of Financial Services internal audit professionals. BFSIAG aim to hold four to six events per year. These are normally located in the City of London and range from lunchtime seminars to full day conferences.
Details of BFSIAG conferences and seminars are circulated to all IIA members employed in financial services and are listed in the Courses and Events section of the IIA website. If you are not a member of the IIA but would still like to receive information about the BFSIAG seminars, please contact one of the committee members listed below.
