The Retail Audit Group is a very successful informal group that holds meetings in January, May and October each year, currently in Milton Keynes and Coventry.
The group is run by internal auditors for internal auditors. It is well established and well supported by those involved. The group's membership comes from a wide variety of backgrounds, including most high street names.
The meetings aim to provide relevant topical information and opportunities to build relationships in internal audit circles. In setting the agendas the management team looks for presenters from outside and inside the group and aims to cover high level and more detailed subject matter. Each meeting normally includes a syndicate session and an open forum so that those present can seek information and share experience with other internal auditors.

The Retail Audit Forum is a self-help forum that seeks to support Internal Auditors working within a retail environment. It is affiliated to the CIIA and the British Retail Consortium. Non members are welcome to attend events)
Topics are likely to include: Risk based internal audit, Bribery Act update and Team building. In addition to the three meetings each year, members find the networking opportunities and knowledge sharing aspect the most valuable.
The Retail Audit Group is affiliated to the Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, and to the British Retail Consortium.
