The Volunteer of the Year Award recognises individual members who have made a significant contribution to the IIA as a volunteer. It is one of the ways that the IIA says ‘thank you’ to those who generously give their time, energy and skills to the work of the Institute.
Award criteria
In order to be eligible for the award, nominees must:
In deciding between nominees of equal merit, Council will place the greatest emphasis on the voluntary project during the year which has contributed most to the achievement of the IIA's objectives.
Members typically eligible for the award include active members of the District Society committees, national committees or their equivalent.
Presentation of the award
The top three nominees will be invited to attend an IIA national event where the overall award will be made. The successful Volunteer of the Year will be presented a small gift and a certificate.
Nominations can be made by any IIA member or group of IIA members.
