GDPR and information governance

13 March | Manchester

GDPR is a significant piece of legislation regarding data protection and has been one of the hot topics over the last 24 months, demanding corporate focus in most organisations.

IIA North West held a GDPR event back in May 2018 when the changes came in to force that looked at what to expect. This event will focus on what happens next and common issues and difficulties that are occurring. Its speakers hail from both Central Government and Private Sector.

What will I learn?

  • Key requirements and expectations of GDPR
  • Insights into how both Central Government and the Private Sector have adapted to the changes posed by GDPR.

Core competencies covered

  • Improvement and innovation
  • Business acumen.

Why should I attend?

  • Stay up-to-date with GDPR regulations and changes
  • Understand the importance of personal data and how to protect it
  • Develop knowledge of European data subjects' rights and associated law.
