The Audit & Risk Awards 2019: Key facts

This will be the fifth year of the Audit & Risk awards and each year they’re attracting more entries, more attention and more great stories that showcase the achievements of internal audit teams and leaders across the UK and Ireland. But we can’t do this without you. We need you to nominate individuals and teams and to tell us about the fantastic things you’re doing.

The facts

• The deadline for all entries is 30 August 2019.
• The shortlist will be announced in September 2019.

What’s in it for you?

1. Shortlisted nominees will be invited to an event hosted by PwC in central London. The winners will be announced at this event and winners will be presented with a certificate by the CEO of the Chartered IIA.
2. Winners will also receive a winners’ logo that can be displayed on correspondence and websites. It’s no good winning things if you can’t tell everyone about it.
3. All the winners and highly commended entries will be publicised on the Chartered IIA's website and in a supplement published in Audit & Risk magazine.
4. Throughout 2020 we will be inviting winners to share their success stories in Audit & Risk magazine.

When done well, internal auditors can become unsung heroes – their very success making them almost invisible to many in their own organisation. This may be flattering, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to remind managers and teams of the talents and hard work that are helping to keep their companies alert and protected behind the scenes.

Externally too, an award-winning internal audit team is a valuable asset that can help to reassure investors that the organisation is doing everything it can to protect and grow their investment. It demonstrates not only best practice, but also the appreciation of peers and innovation.
