Welcome to the Scotland committee

The IIA Scotland Committee is a volunteer group committed to supporting our members in Scotland.

The committee’s role is to:

• Support and promote the interests of the membership in Scotland
• Encourage and support the participation of members in Chartered IIA activities
• Organise an annual programme of forums, events and activities to support the members
• Promote the Chartered IIA and membership in Scotland
• Serve as a communication channel between the members, central office and the Council

In Scotland, we are an active committee with a number of networking forums and special interest groups covering most roles, sectors and topics. We have an annual events programme which is relevant to live topics and emerging issues. We are here to support our members therefore if there is anything else you want us to consider, tell us.

Colin Howden
Committee Chair
Colin is the Chair of the IIA Scotland Committee and has been a member of the Committee for over five years. He established and led the Practitioners Forum for over four years and has been heavily involved in organising the past three Scottish Conferences. He is a Chartered Accountant, qualifying in 2002 through ICAS while at PwC, undertaking a range of client work in utilities, financial services and manufacturing. He has worked in internal audit (IA) and risk advisory roles since 2004.
