250 Delegates arrive for the 2011 IIA Conference in Central London

The IIA Annual Conference kicked off this morning with over 250 delegates arriving at the Royal Society of Medicine for the two-day event.

After welcoming speeches from chief executive Ian Peters and financial journalist and columnist Robert Bruce, the morning session will cover positioning internal audit as a strategic business partner, with perspectives from AMEC, Cairn Energy plc and Citigroup.

After lunch delegates will learn about developing relationships at a strategic level, increasing influence and building the credibility of internal audit. Attendees will choose a session depending on the size of their organisation: small, medium or large.
