Key Takeaways The meeting on 27 March focussed on the new Global Standards. Piyush Fatina, Chair of the forum, provided a personal perspective on the changes required and the potential impact on the Local Authority IA functions. Ann Brook, Head of Technical Content and Research then provided an overview of the key elements of the new standards together with insights on specific areas of change such as the Mandate for the IA function and the need for a strategy. The link with the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards was highlighted and the imminent communication on intentions for the PSIAS was mentioned.
