Below are a selection of frequently asked questions regarding the Internal Audit Practitioner designation.

To access the course, you must first log on to our website. Next, head to the Students section of our website, where you'll find a link to the study system. To access the Students section, simply click on the Students tab, located in our topline navigation bar. When you log on to the study system for the first time, you will be asked to confirm your email address. You will then receive an activation link.

Your total membership fees to join and for the first year’s student membership is £382.
The online learning course is £1105+VAT.
You also need to pay $75 to IIA Global when you apply for the Internal Audit Practitioner via CCMS, and $150 when you book your exam.
IIA Global is based in the USA and they are responsible for the syllabus. Payment should be made to them directly via the CCMS.
The exam for the designation is hosted online via Pearson Vue’s online proctoring service.
The exam is two hours' long and comprises 100 questions. Depending on the difficulty level of the question, it will receive value. The total score for the exam is 750 and you need to score at least 600 to pass.
There is no appeals process. If you asked for extenuating circumstances to be considered prior to the exam and these were not accommodated, then you can contact IIA Global directly via the CCMS. If you experience any technical difficulties during the exam, please inform both Pearson Vue and IIA Global, and obtain reference numbers from each. You can then contact us directly at student.stupport@iia.org.uk, and we can support you further.
If you reside within the UK and Ireland, then you must be a student member. If you reside in any other country, then you should contact your local IIA Affiliate.
The study programme grants you one week to familiarise yourself with the content, followed by six weeks of learning (and access to content), and two weeks of revision. You will have tutor support for eight weeks.
Total notional hours is between 40 and 60 hours, which include all your classes, reading, revision as well as the actual exam on the day.
Try to schedule your exam between two and four weeks after the course terminates.
At the start of week four you should have confirmed and booked your exam.
All virtual classes are recorded. Alternatively, you can chat to a fellow student and/or the tutor to get the information you need.

The virtual classes are done on Webex Events or Webex Meetings. If you are using a phone or tablet device, then you can download the free software.
A good computer and a stable internet connection are essential. It is recommended that you use a headset for the virtual classes.
For the exam, you will need a webcam.
